Printmaking in Québec. Recipients of the Prix de la Fondation Monique et Robert Parizeau Awards
Thanks to the generous patronage of the Fondation Monique et Robert Parizeau, the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec awarded prizes in 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005 to Québec artists who had made a significant contribution to the field of printmaking. The Fondation Monique et Robert Parizeau also collaborated on the publication of a volume on the engraved work of each of the award-winning artists and helped the Musée acquire some of their pieces. In 2006, attribution of the award was replaced by the exhibition Current Printmaking in Québec, thereby allowing the works of the four award-winners now belonging to the Musée collection to be shown. The artists spotlighted in this exhibition are Ludmila Armata, Elmyna Bouchard, Francine Simonin and Louis-Pierre Bougie.
