Paintings, sculptures, decorative arts, drawings and prints are shown side by side in this exhibition spotlighting tradition and modernity in Québec art. It offers an overview of a burgeoning period in Québec history. Modern works testify to social concerns in times of economic crisis and world conflict. Alongside this modernity, the exhibition invites visitors to look back at the “good old days”, with their picturesque characters and rural activities.
