Survival Virus de survieFrom 1991 to 1999, Mathieu Beauséjour stamped the slogan “Survival Virus de survie” on all Canadian bank bills in his possession, ensuring their destruction by the Bank of Canada. With his stamp and stamp pad, he obliterated more than $100 000 over the years. Radically putting into perspective the action’s political dimension, the investment of time and the significant sum in question, the project, in its final form, skilfully asks the question, without really answering, where does value lie?
