Parages (pane mundial)Parages, Alain Paiement’s most ambitious work to date, is a photographic scan, centimetre by centimetre, of the building where he lives: his apartment, but also the bakery on the ground floor, part of the basement, the skylight, the street and the quiet backyard. The distance created by the scale and the artist’s methodical scan allow the viewer to observe a man in his natural habitat as one would an animal or an insect.
