L'Arbre de la rue DurocherBurned, dug out and full of holes, the elm on Durocher street in Montréal no longer resembles the old tree that the city had to take down in 1954. For two years, amid the intrigued, dumbfounded looks of passers-by, the artist worked to give new life to this old giant. Through this work created in public, Vaillancourt open a new avenue for modern sculpture in Québec.
