The library of the Musée, with its documentary collections numbering thousands of titles, is a unique facility for specialised research into Quebec art.
The library’s collections include general volumes, exhibition catalogues, artist monographs and audiovisual documents on Quebec, Canadian and international art. The library subscribes to numerous periodicals on art, design and museum studies, in addition to receiving the catalogues of the principal auction houses. Its documentary collections include some 13,000 biographical files in addition to files on Quebec museums, galleries and arts associations. Private archival collections and research collections are also available for consultation.
