Library

With its documentary collections of thousands of titles, the Musée library is a very unique research venue specialized in Québec art.

The library’s documentary collections are available on various supports and in the following forms: collections catalogues, auction house catalogues, exhibition catalogues, descriptive catalogues, DVDs, CDs, audiovisual documents, files, private archives, Québec early art research fund, books, periodicals, reports and themes, auction house directories and slides. 

The library meets the objectives of the Musée’s research programs. It is also open, by appointment, to professionals from the art world and graduate students. Appointments:  bibliom@mnba.qc.ca, (418) 644-6460, ext. 3341, fax: (418) 643-2478.

The Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec library’s e-catalogue is available for consultation on CUBIQ (Catalogue unifié des bibliothèques gouvernementales du Québec). This catalogue includes the list of documents acquired by the Musée library since 1987 (collections catalogues, exhibition catalogues, descriptive catalogues, DVDs, CDs, audiovisual documents, books) and publications linked to the exhibitions presented at the Musée since it opened in 1933.
