In 2005, the Musée acquired the Brousseau collection of Inuit Art. This extraordinary collection includes works from throughout the Canadian Arctic: Baffin Island, Kitikmeot, Kivalliq (Keewatin), Nunavik, Labrador and the Northwest Territories. Québec collector Raymond Brousseau spent almost 50 years amassing this collection. A visionary and art lover, Mr. Brousseau was able to acquire remarkable pieces from famous artists.
The collection consists of 2 635 works and objects (mainly sculptures, but also original drawings, prints, ethnographic pieces, jewellery, etc.)
